TRANSPARENCY

Rule 8:

BUILD A TRANSPARENT PROCESS AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

While building your innovation management program, you'll need to overcome skepticism. Innovators may experience the process as vague or fuzzy, and others may think it's all just a waste of time that can never result in actual benefits.

You'll need to show the complete process and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to build trust, grow sustainable sponsorship, and engage your audience. Get further guidance on innovation reporting in the full article.

An idea on its own is nothing; it's the execution that brings value.

COFFEE BREAK WEBINAR

We originally published the “10 Rules” as a series of blog posts and asked our readers to submit their questions. We answered those questions in several short “Coffee Break” videos, which you can watch in the time it takes to enjoy your coffee, tea, or wine (hey, we don't judge your beverage choices!).

The fourth "Coffee Break" webinar answers questions on Communication (Rule 7) and Transparency (Rule 8). Check it out!

TAKE-AWAYS

1.

Create a transparent process that takes away the fuzz and prevents skepticism

2.

Don't use conventional metrics to assess new-to-the-world options

3.

Grow your reporting with your program’s maturity
